Presenting "Boudoir Chic", a pre-Valentine collection!

With Christmas only just finished (we took the Christmas tree down yesterday!), I was getting a bit tired of using red clay after nearly two months of it.  I wasn't especially looking forward to more red for Valentine's day...

So I decided that I was going make some pieces in a style that I would really enjoy working on for a couple of weeks...more 'play' than 'work'!

And here is what I came up with.  This new collection is infused with a mix of romance, lingerie, lace, bows and hearts.  And cake.  Never forget the cake...

And that's how the collection called 'Boudoir Chic' was born! 

These will be listed on our Etsy store later this evening - around 8pm our time (7pm GMT, 11am PST, 2pm EST).

Noël vient à peine de claquer la porte, le sapin fraîchement est démonté, je me voyais mal me remettre - si tôt - à tripoter de la Fimo rouge pour la Saint Valentin...nan, pas envie.... :)

Du coup, j'ai décidé de me faire plaisir avec des couleurs pas forcémént pâtissières, et j'ai gardé l'esprit "romantique/dentelle/lingerie/coeurs/petits noeuds" et des gâteaux, bien sûr, on oublie pas les gâteaux!!!!!

Galettes des rois - French Epiphany Pastries

The hectic but very enjoyable Christmas period is over, although our Christmas tree is still up (ours is so pretty that we're keeping up a little bit longer!), we're just about done digesting the leftover bûche and whaddya know, it's time for the galettes des rois again!  In the middle of all that, there was the new year so Happy New Year everyone!

Some freshly baked miniature galettes are now in our Etsy store.

Ca y est, les gens, c'est fini Noël, on démonte le sapin (euh.....un jour....bientôt......il est trop beau le nôtre,on le garde encore un peu:), on digère la bûche et hop hop,c'est déjà l'heure de la galette, miam!!!

Entre les deux, bien sûr, il y avait le jour de l'an, alors Bonne Année 2014 les gens!!!

Sneak Peek - Paris Création Miniatures Show

Just two days remain until the Paris Création miniatures show which means no more mini-making at all - it's too late!  Speaking from experience, working until two in the morning on the eve of a show only results in burning Fimo or falling asleep with paintbrush in hand.....yep, in the past I've done both!

Neil always tells me "look, no-one will ever know that you ran out of time to make such-and-such"....and it's true!  YOU WON'T NOTICE THE THINGS I NEVER HAD TIME TO MAKE!!!

Nevertheless with work on the house still going on after weeks of it and the shortest of naps being taken by our own 2 year old miniature, I have to confess that the stand may not have enough for everybody!! :)

So scroll down and have a look at the photos of the things that are ready and we'll go and tidy up and get ready for Sunday.  No more Fimo between now and then (well maybe a little...!!!)

Oooops, juste deux jours avant Paris-Créations, c'est à dire on ARRETE de fabriquer quoi que ce soit, c'est trop tard!!!....avec l'expérience, il semble que tout ce qu'on fait de bien à deux heures du mat' la veille d'un expo, c'est risquer de cramer de la fimo ou de s'endormir avec un pinceau à la main.....ouais, j'ai déjà fait les deux :)

En plus Neil me dit toujours "mais enfin, personne ne le sait que t'avais prévu de faire tel truc et que tu n'as pas eu le temps" ....et c'est VRAI!!!! CA NE SE VOIT PAS,  LES TRUCS QUE J'AI PAS EU LE TEMPS DE FAIRE!!!!!

Néanmoins, en quelques semaines avec des travaux dans tous les sens et la plus petite quantité de sieste jamais produite par le "mini -nous", faut bien avouer qu'il n'y en aura pas pour tout le monde!!!! :)

Un petit coup d'oeil aux photos pour  donner envie de venir voir de plus près, et maintenant, on range et on prépare, plus de fimo (si, allez un petit peu? NAN J' AI DIT!!!)
