Miniature Meringues - Etsy Update

Another beautiful series of miniatures were recently added to our Etsy store.  They included these cute little meringue displays.

One is on a shabby chic stand and the other in a little glass jar with a 'toile de Jouy' covered lid.

You can see more like this at www.parisminiatures.etsy.com

And as with all our meringues, they're hand-piped individually and not made with push moulds! :-p

That's all well and good, but now we just need to make something to put on the stand!  Aaaargh!!

May the Fourth Be With You: It's (miniature) STAR WARS Day!

On this special (for some!) day, we bring together our love of small things, food, toys and Star Wars and go rummaging through some old boxes that were last seen a long time ago, in an attic not so far far away....

Today we celebrate STAR WARS day in our own little way by imagining what the Empire and the Rebels will be eating to mark the occasion.

Vader would probably have made pancakes for his crew for breakfast.  He'd have put his heart and soul into it (there IS good in him!).  It's a shame that the Emperor is just soooooo evil....

As for the Rebels, the party is underway.  They even have a star shaped balloon :)  Han Solo sips on a shake, while Chewbacca tucks into some apple pie and cream.  A mechanic and an X-wing pilot look on as poor old Luke struggles with his burger and seeks some advice from Obi-Wan Kenobi....

It's nice to be able to finally put our two favourite plastic collections together! Lego (Neil) and Re-ment (Emma).
